Lower Curr, Dulnain Bridge
This spacious detached holiday home is located on the outskirts of Dulnain bridge so benefits from a more rural feel but only a short drive from all the amenities of Grantown on Spey or Aviemore. With a double bedroom, 2 twin bedrooms and two bathrooms (one shower, one family bathroom) and a large garden with lawn and play area, it is an ideal base for your family holiday or adventure in the Cairngorms National Park.
With recenly upgraded decor and appliances, Lower Curr provides all the mod cons you would expect in a home from home such as dishwasher, washing and dryer, sky tv and wifi.
Located approximately a mile along the road, Dulnain Bridge is centred around the high 18th century bridge over the River Dulnain and has a shop and post office. The surrounding forests of mature Caledonian Pines contain many rare and interesting species. The bird list is headed by the endangered Capercaillie which are regularly seen. There are Scottish Crossbills, the small but beautiful Crested Tit, Buzzards, Eagles, and of course Ospreys. The Red Squirrel is very much at home here! Curr Wood, on the south and east of the village has the country's largest population of Twinflower, known by the botanical name of linnea borealis. They share the forest floor with a tiny orchid called Creeping Ladies Tresses. For other amenities, Grantown on Spey is 4.5 miles away and Aviemore is 10 miles away.

What a fantastic place and a great location, easy to get to, and with woodland walks opposite the house. Nice enclosed garden & drive space for two cars. The house was more spacious than we expected too (3 adults / 3 kids) and had everything we needed. The beds were comfy with nice firm mattresses and lots of good towels too. Internet/WIFI worked well. Various board games and books provided, all very nicely organised when we left :). Nice kids play area and some toys, blocks, beanbag etc. Good shower and bathroom too. The log fire was great and essential on our last day due to the long power cut. Definitely recommend the place and would love to return for another adventure. Thank you very much. December 21st 2023.
